In 1995, Khun Vikrom Kromadit, CEO of Amata Corporation, Thailand’s leading industrial park developer, and I got together to explore whether our two companies could do what many industry experts at that time said was not economically feasible, i.e. to build up AMATA POWER LIMITED as a Thailand-based power development and holding company that focuses on the development, financing, construction and operation of power plants and distribution networks for industrial estates.

With the support of B.Grimm’s and Amata’s senior management and those daring few who came on board at the early stages, AMATA POWER can now look back on a successful development of three combined cycle and cogeneration plants in Thailand and one power plant in Vietnam.

This success can be attributed to a number of factors: a combination of strong shareholders with B.Grimm majority owned B.Grimm E.ON Electrowatt Limited managing the company’s affairs supported by Amata Corporation PCL, E.ON Kraftwerke GmbH and Electrowatt-Ekono forming an excellent strategic alliance of key players in the fields of engineering, industrial estate and business management.

Besides the strong shareholding structure it is of course the professional work of our dedicated people with their great attitude, the trust they built and their unity and teamwork, which adds a specific value to our customers.
