Due to the continuing growth of the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate and the increasing electricity demand of our customers, Amata Power is planning to develop a 55 MW expansion unit adjacent to the Amata Power (Bangpakong) Combined Cycle Power Plant. Amata Power (Bangpakong) has been in operation since October 2001, and has a maximum generating capacity of 114 MW. 90 MW is sold to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the remaining 24 MW to industrial customers in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate under long-term PPA’s.

The expansion project’s construction will start in early 2005 and be completed in late 2006. With a debt to equity ratio of 3 to 1 and total investment of approximately Baht 1,700 million, the project will be financed with a loan of around Baht 1,300 million
